The classic Indian golden saffron milk, now made with fresh almond milk. Warming, calming, and full of goodness.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Alt Milk fresh almond milk
- 8 to 10 saffron strands soaked in 2 tbsp warm water for 5 minutes
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (optional, for extra anti-inflammatory benefit)
- 1 tsp jaggery or 3 to 4 drops stevia (optional)
- A pinch of black pepper (helps absorb curcumin from turmeric)
Instructions
- Warm the almond milk in a small saucepan on low heat. Do not boil.
- Add saffron water, cardamom powder, turmeric, and black pepper.
- Stir continuously for 3 to 4 minutes on low heat.
- Add sweetener if desired and stir again.
- Pour into a cup and serve warm.
Tip: This recipe works especially well at night before bedtime. Saffron supports sleep quality and cardamom aids digestion.
