Ingredients
- 2 cups Alt Milk fresh walnut milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
- A pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Cinnamon stick, to serve
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, whisk cocoa powder, maple syrup, cinnamon, and sea salt with a splash of walnut milk to form a smooth paste.
- Gradually whisk in the remaining walnut milk over medium-low heat.
- Stir continuously until fully combined and steaming, about 5 minutes. Do not let it boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick or a dusting of cocoa powder.
Tip: Walnut milk’s subtly earthy, buttery undertone makes this richer-tasting than a standard plant-milk hot chocolate — no added cream needed.
